The KuKuk Box: Diversity as standard
Containers are standardised. This has a lot of advantages which we use for our play containers. Thanks to their standardised form, we can ship them very cheaply to anywhere in the world.
Due to their stable frame construction and their flexibility, our containers are perfectly suited as scaffolding and outer shells for a variety of playing opportunities.

What you want
There are no limits to your imagination when expanding the container structure – only the country-specific standards for playground safety which of course have to be complied with.
We offer climbing structures up to the roof, boulder walls, roof houses, crawl tunnels, awnings, lounges, balancing courses, slides, playhouses, seating platforms, sandboxes, reading corners and much more. We also thought about the parents and educators, because sometimes they have to or want to sit down.
The container also serves as a weather protection. In summer it offers shade, while in the rain it’s an indoor playground in the fresh air.
Our materials
STEEL
Our containers are standardised and made of corten steel. This is a special type of steel which is particularly hard-wearing and weatherproof. Its surfaces are still rolled and untreated during production and processing, i.e. optically grey.
The walls are made of trapezoidal sheet steel, while the floors are made of laminated wood.
Wood
We use sapwood-free robinia wood for our components. The robinia is extremely robust, tough, flexible and elastic (resistance class 1) – and therefore ideal for outdoor playground construction.
Otherwise, only tropical woods which we do not use offer this level of resistance and longevity.
Our floors are made of durable solid robinia wood.
NETS AND ROPES
We have our nets and ropes made of extremely strong Hercules rope, which are custom-made sheathed steel ropes. This craftsmanship is only operated by a very small number of manufacturers in Germany.
The material is impressive with its high colour retention and abrasion resistance and offers the children tactile pleasure.
STAINLESS STEEL
We only use stainless steel fasteners such as screws, threaded rods, washers, nuts, etc. (V2A), because that means we can guarantee long durability and high quality. Stainless steel withstands all weather conditions and keeps its shine.
The slides are also made of durable, UV-resistant stainless steel (V2A).
Plexiglass
In order to give the children an intense colour experience, we like to use coloured plexiglass. This material is loved by the children because of its great effects and is also resistant to weather, ageing and UV. Our plexiglass is scratch-resistant, impact-resistant and shape-retaining even during temperature fluctuations.
COLOURS
Thanks to its very high resistance, the robinia wood does not require a protective coating. In order to preserve the mint condition of our playgrounds for a long time, we glaze the woods. For this purpose, we use an environmentally friendly, solvent-free glaze according to DIN EN 71-3, whose colour pigments protect the wood from greying for a longer time.
